Why was Joseph Rosenbaum free?

adambcoleman.substack.com

Since the beginning of the shooting incident in Kenosha, WI involving Kyle Rittenhouse, there have been a variety of narratives stemming from it. There are people questioning why the chaos was allowed to go on for several days. There are people questioning the legality of a 17-year-old open carrying a rifle. Even more frequently referenced, people ask why a 17-year-old was involved in such a dangerous situation.

While I don’t necessarily have a problem with some of us asking about rationality for having a 17-year-old enter such a chaotic situation, nevertheless with a gun, there is a more important question the mainstream media is avoiding: Why was Joseph Rosenbaum free?

To give a bit of context, Joseph Rosenbaum was a convicted child rapist. Joseph Rosenbaum was initially charged with 11 counts of child molestation and inappropriate sexual activity around children, including anal rape. The victims of his heinous conduct were 5 boys ranging from the ages of 9 and 11 years old. At the time of his death, Joseph Rosenbaum was on the Wisconsin sex offender’s registry.

On December 12th, 2002, Joseph Rosenbaum was sentenced to 10 years for sexual contact of a minor, and then sentenced to 2 years, 6 months for sexual contact of a minor related to the same 2002 incident. Subsequently, he was placed on lifetime probation on December 16th, 2002. Also, keep in mind that during the time of his death, he had an open case for domestic abuse.

By all accounts, Joseph Rosenbaum was a highly troubled individual and the worst type of human that exists; someone who rapes children. Joseph Rosenbaum has five victims who have to live the rest of their lives dealing with what had happened to them and I pray they have been able to heal from the trauma that Rosenbaum forced upon them.

Yes, Joseph was theoretically punished for his crimes. However, I still ask the question, why was he free? Why was he allowed to roam the streets in such a relatively short prison sentence? There are people with robbery charges who are serving more time than Joseph did. Effectively, Joseph served about 2 and a half years per victim. I beg to ask, does that seem right? Does that seem like adequate justice?

If raping a child is the most heinous crime imaginable, why was he given such leniency with his sentencing? Are there weaknesses in our judicial system that need to be strengthened when it comes to penalizing people who violate our children or are our prosecutors obsessed with getting a quick win?

Seven of the Eleven counts that Joseph was initially charged with were Class 2 felonies, which in the state of Arizona, a class two felony is typically punishable by up to 12 years in prison. To reiterate, Joseph was initially charged with seven Class 2 felonies, yet he was ultimately sentenced to only 12 and a half years.

How could this happen? Simple. He took a plea deal which amended counts of sexual conduct with a minor in the second degree & the other charges were dropped. Many District Attorneys would rather avoid the time and costliness of going through a trial by offering a plea deal that spares a monster like Rosenbaum decades in prison.

If the most despicable action someone can do is hurt a child, then our criminal justice system shouldn’t be lukewarm in its aggressiveness to remove these people from our neighborhoods. There are people who were at the wrong place, at the wrong time, and with the wrong people who are doing 25 to life, yet a serial child rapist was granted leniency with a plea agreement.

As much as I’m focusing on Joseph Rosenbaum, his situation signifies a potentially greater problem we are facing in America when it comes to our children and their exposure to sex and sexual predators. While it is possible that Joseph’s light penalty could have been more of a result of a District Attorney wanting to take advantage of a judicial shortcut for punishment, I wonder if there is a greater multi-institutional problem when it comes to the hastiness to remove child groomers & predators from our society.

There is a growing effort to normalize sexual discussion amongst children and to de-stigmatize pedophilia. Some of the most fringe ideologues want to transform pedophilia into being a sympathetic sexual preference, like being a homosexual.

The latest example comes from a controversial professor at Old Dominion University, Allyn Walker, who wants us to use softer language when referencing adults who are sexually attracted to children because they feel the term “pedophile” is offensive. What is offensive is the attempt in plain sight to make these people feel comfortable and, speaking as a parent, they should NEVER feel comfortable.

When parents were fervently shouting at their school boards nationwide, the media was focused on the clash against wanting aspects of Critical Race Theory (known as Critical Race Praxis) taught in their schools, which is true. However, the mainstream media ignored the other issues parents had with their school boards revolving around the topic of sex.

The mainstream media didn’t take the time to listen to the parents who were concerned about teachers discussing with their elementary-aged children about sex and allowing books in their libraries that target children and are filled with animated pornographic imagery & sexual explicit depictions. Parents also took issue with elements of gender & queer theory being taught to their children, which goes into detail about sexuality beyond what most parents are comfortable with.

To be clear, I am not insinuating that there is a larger conspiracy at hand, and caring about the welfare of children doesn’t make you a “Q” theorist, it makes you a normal adult. I am questioning if there is a slow degradation within our society where we are overexposing our children to discussions that they are ill-prepared to handle and if we are being socially groomed to be empathetic to the worst people among us.

I am also questioning if our prosecutors are gaining empathy for these people or if are they too focused on getting a proverbial win via guilty pleas, that they are minimizing the necessity to keep monsters such as Rosenbaum locked away from the most innocent in our society, our children.

TY M. Coleman. Yeah, now pedophiles wanna be called MAPs. "Minor-attracted person." So *they* won't feel bad. That right there starts the slide down the slippery slope.

There is another consideration here: the timed release of criminals into our streets to create more chaos, confusion, fear and associated distractions in order to keep the public in a state of frenzy. An unsettled populace leads to an unsettled, unpeaceful, disordered society. The Chinese prize an ordered, peaceful society and thus they have instituted a long held cultural system for accomplishing that. They, the CCP, has also made a goal to displace America as the premier superpower in the world and thus have created disorder in our society in order to realize that goal. The rub here is that there are individuals and groups who have taken up the banner of the CCP and are helping them to create that disorder in our society. It is this coordinated attack that we must (and are) counter attack. This scenario is, I believe, the reason why there are felons like Rosenbaum, MHBIH, out in our streets.
