It’s not lost on me how fortunate I have been in my writing and media success. Starting from nothing when I published my book and with no expectations, I did not foresee where I would be two years from then. When I started getting invites on television programs because of my articles, it was a sign that maybe I’m hitting a spot in culture and politics that even television networks are finding interesting.
"Calm" is your superpower Adam. At least in your Twitter spaces, you seem like the most unflappable guy in the world. It's a quality that people find soothing. You come across as a tall, strong, but calm and gentle and compassionare man. People want an Adam around. They feel safe.
Carry on, Mr. Coleman, a lot of us are rootin' fer ya.
And yes, you should be gratified that the quality of your prose is intrinsic to the accolades you're receiving. Conveying an important message is all to the good, but what does it profit a man if he gain the whole message and yet lose his audience? (to paraphrase Mark:86.)
