Weeks ago, I was invited by Vivek to fly to Ohio where his campaign headquarters is located to appear on his new podcast. Vivek and I met each other shortly after he resigned from his position as CEO of his own company so he could speak freely about his personal politics.
Wow, an insightful interview where one soul is talking to another without an artificial veneer. I think Vivek's point that you really get to know another person better through their writing is spot on. When you put words to print, whether on paper or online, you demonstrate what you stand for. I was sorry to hear of the trauma endured by being hospitalized at such a young age. It is shocking that the medical profession would go to such an extreme for words from a child who may not fully realize what they mean. There is a reason society shields children from their actions or words as they often lack the requisite mens rea. But your revelation solved a puzzlement over your writing as well as your interviews. They are so full of grace reminding me of the writings of Victor Frankl, Navaho David Paladin, and others who emerged from traumatic experiences, where the timeline and ending fate were unknown, to an elevated consciousness.
Oh my goodness looking forward to it. Vivek is RFK , jr’s counterpart understanding history and philosophy and incredibly intelligent. He messed up with Lemon. Should have quoted Frederick Douglas the three bs: ballot box, jury box and cartridge box.
Since discovering your writing I've really enjoyed it and appreciated your perspective. Your writing is refreshingly authentic and personal so it was fun to hear your actual voice in this interview.
I watched Vivek’s interview and came away slightly turned off by Vivek but impressed by Adam. Adam seemed measured, thoughtful, honest and compassionate. When they discussed Affirmative Action and both agreed it is elitist policy, I looked up Vivek’s approach and he simply talks about meritocracy and how Black students aren’t capable of surviving in these Ivy League schools because they were ill prepared. He never addresses the elitism and how foundational Black Americans aren’t the beneficiaries of Affirmative Action at these schools. I was just disappointed in Vivek but again, Adam was impressive. After watching, I began to subscribe to Adam’s substack and watched several of his other interviews on YouTube.
Cannot wait to see this! Will it come out on YouTube? Sent it to my daughter and sonInLaw who adopted their first child (at one day) who is half black although she prefers brown or milk chocolate. (Almost 9) I wanted them to hear your story!! So excited you and Vivek knew each other! Lov all your work!!
My Appearance on Vivek Ramaswamy's Podcast
Vivek is right - you are authentic. No BS
Congrats on the podcast, you both represent millennials well.
I’ve subscribed to his podcast for you. Can’t wait to listen.

Loved the interview and as already mentioned, your frankness is what draws me to listen and read.
Finally got to hear this yesterday. Spectacular contribution and I appreciate you even more @Adam.
