The points you make explain why so many good people won't go into politics. We need more teachers, nurses, doctors, police officers, small business owners in politics. And those who seek high office should have a track record of "low" office - years of grind helping out people in their communities.

It's interesting that you write about chaos agents. I call them division agents.. Jordan Sather exposes these types of people every day. The grifters included.

And then the chaos agents themselves label others who have exposed their hypocrisy and uncomfortable truths every conceivable descriptor included in the definition of a chaos agent. I don’t have any desire to participate in such nonsense. It’s the same reason, barring a major breaking news story, my TV never tunes to any news channels.

A retired policeman told me ‘you cannot defend a negative’.

Similarly, a question like ‘Do you still STILL BEAT your _______________’ is easily misconstrued, and can’t answered; whether guilty or or not.

To succeed in politics one must be willing to wrangle these chaos agents - they’re like wild animals with which one could accomplish a lot if only one can tame them. Direct their impulses towards something useful, i.e. “organized chaos”.
