Democrats Dismissed Americans' Concerns; Now They Want You Back

The Democrat Establishment dismissed the concerns of average Americans for two years and now wants us back.

Before I begin, I want to make it clear that I'm not a Republican and I've never voted for a Republican. I'm an Independent and it's a shame that I have to say this before making a clear point but this is the world we live in now.

What I am though is a former Democrat who watched his party fully embrace the superficialness of identity politics as a shortcut to signaling change for people without actually doing so. They realized if they just said your group identity, they don't have to do much for you.

I watched my party which claimed to be the party of liberal principles swing massively into the party of illiberal practices. Begging Big Tech to censor Americans for wrong speak is illiberal and was antithetical to everything I thought liberals & Democrats believed.

When apolitical, average Americans came to school board meetings because they didn't like what was being taught to their children, they smeared them as lunatics and claimed that Fox News sent them. They pretended their concerns had no merit & even labeled them terrorists.

When Americans said they don't like the idea of our borders being wide open, they called them anti-immigrant and racist. When Americans said that they don't believe our country is reprehensible & racist, they called them blind, stupid & racist for not repeating the narrative.

When Americans said maybe it's not a good idea to mandate a vaccine or else you can't participate in society, they were called reactionary fools who want grandma to die. They were even wished death upon for suggesting our freedom should be considered in these decisions.

When Americans said we should focus on ourselves before other countries, they were smeared as white nationalists.

When we asked why are we involved in so many conflicts across the world, we were smeared as 'isolationists' for not wanting to see more dead civilians and military members for the benefit of the elite class.

The people are tired of being smeared for their legitimate concerns. The people who just went to work and came home are now waking up and making their voices heard. They only see one perpetrator at this point and it's anyone with a 'D' next to their name.

They've seen how one particular party was incessant about preventing them from going to work but keeping Walmart, Target & Amazon open was perfectly fine. One party is pushing mandates. One party forced masks on their children. Right or wrong, that's how they saw things.

Glenn Youngkin overwhelmingly winning in Virginia & New Jersey going majority Republican outside of Governorship, were the first signs. The next was the polls showing how unfavorable their party and policies are.

A terrible economy plus anti-freedom & anti-liberal policies is not a great selling point for most people. The polls are in and they are now pivoting to the point where Joe Biden is damn near saying "Make America Great Again".

The idea that people are going to forget the slander & mistreatment which was placed upon them for the past 2 years is laughable. They think average Americans are going to forget how they were forced into unemployment while the elite enjoyed the transfer of wealth.

Now, they want you back but I don't believe they learned their lesson. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. The Democrats had two years to prove themselves in a time of crisis and they showed you exactly who they are.

They were willing to arrest you for not showing your vaccine passport. They were willing to put you in jail if you opened your business. They were willing to let criminals run amok and if you complained, you were the intolerant one. They showed you exactly who they are.

This is not to say that Republicans, especially in the Federal government, are much better but my God, it is clear who were trying to obstruct hard-working people from participating in society & earning a living.

This mid-term election, do not have a short memory. Remember the strife. Remember what they said about you. Remember who they are and vote whichever way you feel will benefit you, your family, your community & your country.
